Malshej Ghats : a nice short journey thru the Ghats

Malshej Ghats : This is another nice place to visit during monsoons or just after it. Malshej Ghats is around 150kms from Mumbai by road, via Kalyan. The journey to this place is equally picturesque.

With lush green grass on both sides of the roads while travelling through the plains & towering hills with steep slopes in the Ghats, with small waterfalls cascading over them. Its a famous spot for trekking (though I didn't go trekking this time ) too. As there a lot of good trails to trek. The best part of this trip / journey was, that you dont need to spend a lot of time on travel, as soon as you cross Kalyan, and drive through the plains, it feels fresh, and this whole trip could be done in a day and you'd still come back refreshed.

This place also has a MTDC guest house / resort. Its decent, but do not expect 5-star quality.
